about
due to overwhelming demand after my last few live shows i have decided the most morally sound thing to do is to release my demo of pangea, a song i wrote in at 3am in my bedroom in lockdown I, 2020, having just turned 17. i recorded this version in about 4 hours this spring on a terrible production app at my parents' house as a rough draft, but people keep asking, and i feel it is time to deliver.
enjoy :)

lyrics
i can only try and try and try
heather is hanging from the ceiling of my bedroom
and i don't know how to pray
but i damn well try to
candles burn brightly in the three a.m. husk of
what the night used to be
so call the whole world pangea
hold it inside your hand
oh i
don't know how long i can stand it all
i can only try and try and try
paint reality pale blue
let it sink into fact
but the trains barely run anymore - who'd have guessed that?
so high out of my mind
i'll sit and try to find something to look forward to
and i can finally fall asleep without you
call the whole world pangea
hold it inside your hand
oh i
don't know how long i can stand it all
- and if the world comes to closing
hold me tighter than tight
and let me know that in the next life i will burn just as bright
i can only try and try and try
here i am, breaking all the mugs again, sticking them back together with sellotape and plasters
